Christian Rönnbacka (b. 1969) is a writer and adventurer with a police background.
Rönnbacka’s popular Hautalehto crime series is known for its distinctive humor and expertise in police work, with 12th title coming out in late 2024, the series has sold near half a million copies in all formats.
His new series follows Henna Björk, a young Iraqi-Finnish policewoman diving into the underworld of international crime.
Christian Rönnbacka has been selected by the audiobook service BookBeat as Domestic Crime Writer of the Year for two consecutive years, 2020 and 2021.
The third and fourth titles in the Hautalehto series have been turned into a TV series. Hautalehto series have been distributed internationally to streaming services in the US, UK, France, Germany, Poland, Canada, Australia, Spain, Latin America, and elsewhere.
Rönnbacka has also published non-fiction books. He enjoys the peace of nature and is also a partner in an independent distillery.
