Pia Heikkilä

Pia Heikkilä is a Finnish journalist who has lived in India for the last 14 years.

Her first novel Operation Lipstick was published by Penguin India in 2012 and was translated to Finnish the following year by Otava. Before The Rat Catcher of Delhi, she published six books in total.

Pia Heikkilä has previously worked in the UK, the Middle East and Afghanistan for CNN, Al Jazeera, and the Guardian.  She speaks and reads seven languages, including Hindi and Urdu, the two primary languages of North India. During her free time, she leads walking tours in Old Delhi.
