A dangerous chase between a young Gothenburg policeman, a former child soldier, and a brutal war criminal continues in Belgium in the second title in Christian Rönnbacka’s tense HENNA BJÖRK series
The Security and Intelligence Service has hired Henna Björk, a cold-blooded police officer, and Ismael Koroma, a former child soldier from Sweden, for a special mission. Their goal is to find the notorious Toojay, a Sierra Leonean war criminal who has disappeared from Finland.
By tapping into a community of child soldiers, Ismael gets a tip about Toojay’s whereabouts. He’s in Antwerp, at the centre of the world’s diamond trade where he is making a living selling blood diamonds. To complete their mission, Henna and Ismael must infiltrate a rampant African ghetto in the shadows of Antwerp’s jewellery district.
However, not everyone plays nicely. Henna has no idea that whilst they’re working with the Security and Intelligence Service to capture Toojay, Ismael is also hatching a plan that will endanger the entire operation.
