Tuomas Kyrö (b. 1974) is one of the most versatile, active, and prolific writers of his generation. His extensive body of work includes novels, columns, short stories, cartoons, and drama. He has also worked as a screenwriter. His novel The Beggar and the Hare was an international success and was followed by The Grump. Kyrö was awarded the Pro Finlandia Medal in 2020 and has previously been nominated for the Finlandia Prize for Literature.
