Siiri spots a beautiful trophy on the shelf and learns that her dad won it in a high-jump competition at school.
Siiri wastes no time in organising an athletics event for her friends! At the tournament, Little Otto is gripped by a sudden fear of the bar when he’s expected to perform the high jump. He slips away from the competition, making up a new friend, Casper, as his excuse.
Watching a cloud in the sky, Little Otto imagines Casper living inside it. Siiri and others try to spy on Little Otto to find out who Casper really is. What will happen when the group of friends want to meet Casper for real? And will Little Otto ever be brave enough to jump over the bar?
The characters found in the Siiri books are among the most loved in Finnish children’s literature. Siiri is an energetic little girl, and Little Otto, Middle Otto, and Big Otto are her best friends. The Siiri books, created by author Tiina Nopola (b. 1955) and illustrator Mervi Lindman (b. 1971), bring the everyday moments that mean so much to pre-school children to life.
