Gondolat Kiadó has acquired Hungarian language publishing rights to Katja Kettu’s masterful novel HAWK MOTH (Yöperhonen, WOSY 2015). Gondolat has published also Kettu’s acclaimed THE MIDWIFE (Kätilö, WSOY 2011) as one of the first international publishers of the novel in 2013.
The Estonian rights to the first two books in the Kepler62 series by Timo Parvela, Bjørn Sortland and Pasi Pitkänen are sold to Ajakirjade kirjastus. Book one: Call (Kutsu, WSOY 2015) Book two: Countdown (Lähtölaskensta, WSOY 2015)

Albert Bonniers Förlag has bought the Swedish publishing rights of Katja Kettu’s new novel HAWK MOTH (Yöperhonen, WSOY 2015). The Swedish edition of her previous novel, THE MIDWIFE (Kätilö, WSOY 2010), was also published by Albert Bonniers Förlag and received wonderful reviews and success. The translator of BARNMORSKAN (2013) is Janina Orlov.

The German publishing rights to Katja Kettu’s HAWK MOTH (Yöperhonen, WSOY 2015) have been bought by Ullstein, whose paperback edition of Kettu’s previous novel, THE MIDWIFE (Kätilö, WSOY 2011) is coming out in November in Angela Plöger’s praised translation.
Norwegian publishing rights to Katja Kettu’s HAWK MOTH (Yöperhonen, WSOY 2015) have been sold to Pax, who have also published Kettu’s previous novel THE MIDWIFE (Kätilö, WSOY 2011) translated by Turid Farbregd. The translation, Jordmora, was awarded the prestigious Kritikprisen in 2013 in Norway.
The Galician rights to Timo Parvela’s GUARDIAN OF THE SAMPO trilogy, Fireblade (Tuliterä, Tammi 2007), Tiera (Tiera, Tammi 2008) and The Witch of the North (Louhi, Tammi 2009), sold to Urco Editora.
Danish rights to Katja Kettu’s praised new novel HAWK MOTH (Yöperhonen) are sold to People’s Press. The Danish edition of her previous novel THE MIDWIFE (Kätilö) was also published by them in Birgita Bonde Hansen’s translation with the title Jordemoderen – and with great success!

The Estonian publishing rights to Katja Kettu’s new novel, the fabulous HAWK MOTH (Yöperhonen), have been bought by Koolibri. HAWK MOTH will be the third novel by Katja Kettu published by them, the previous being Ämmaemand (The Midwife) and Keevitaja (The Welder).
