Pre-publication deal in Germany with Heyne in a 3-book preempt for Satu Rämö’s HILDUR series!

Today is the Finnish publication day for Satu Rämö’s debut crime novel, HILDUR (Hildur, WSOY 2022). We are also delighted to announce a pre-publication deal in Germany with Heyne in a 3-book preempt earlier this week. What an incredible launch for the book!

Hildur Rúnarsdóttir, the titular Hildur, is the lead detective in charge of the missing persons unit in the Icelandic town of Ísafjörður, which nestles in the Westfjords of Iceland. Hildur and her Finnish trainee detective colleague, Jakob Johanson – who has a penchant for knitting! – partner up to investigate a strange tangle of crimes amidst the close-knit community following the inexplicable disappearance of two schoolgirls.

HILDUR launches a refreshing voice in the Nordic Noir tradition with a pinch of folkloric mysticism that is a must-read for fans of Maria Adolfsson’s Doggerland series or Arnaldur Indriðason’s atmospheric Erlendur series. The second book in the series, RÓSA & BJÖRK will be published in March 2023, followed by Book 3 in December 2023.
