Simplified Chinese rights to Kirsi Kunnas’ IT HAPPENED IN TUMPKIN LAND (Tapahtui Tiitiäisen maassa, WSOY 2018), illustrated by Christel Rönns, have sold to Daylight Publishing House. The book is a collection of Kunnas’ most beloved jewels of Finnish children’s poetry.

Kunnas (1924 – 2021), known for her brilliance and linguistic virtuosity, is a Finnish national treasure, loved by young and old alike. Her poetry is characterized by joy, playfulness, wonder, courage and open-mindedness. All these attributes also applied to Kirsi Kunnas herself.
